Accommodation:
The VAC program aims to find a suitable accommodation according to your financial budget and your requirements. The following is offered:

Home stay:

Staying with a host family can make your trip easier than staying in guesthouse, because volunteers can interact with the members of that family. Living with a host family can make the stay in Cambodia more interesting and a more genuine experience of Khmer life. The fees for home stay also include food.

VAC will find a friendly host family and place to stay.

Guesthouses (US$5 per day program placement):

Generally, staying in guesthouse can make life easier at first, especially if you are new to Asia. Guesthouses are usually private and comfortable. The price for normal guesthouse is US$5.
If you would like to stay in a guesthouse we will provide you addresses of reasonable and recommendable guesthouses.

Finding your own accommodation:

Some volunteers may prefer to find their own apartment or someone to share an apartment with. Prices vary for this, if you find an apartment on your own, you would probably pay at least US$120 - 200 per month, not including utilities. This may well be a good option for those planning to stay longer than 5 or 6 weeks.
